Activities

Strategizing, designing, building, and optimizing our
1. AWS infrastructure
  - Reviewing how our services & REST API are set up and integrated, and collaborating on ideas for further improvement
  - Minimizing our usage and costs as much as is feasibly possible, remembering quality of service, sustainability, and security
  - Keeping up with relevant industry news for even better optimizations and upgrades
2. Flutter app
  - Based on our user stories & designs, you’ll be coding the necessary
    - UI elements, screens, widgets, navigation, and others
    - Elements & data that interact with requests to/from our REST API
3. Beyond
  - Whether you want to move towards being a specialist expert, dev team leader, or even branch out and diversify your skillset into business, marketing, or others, once we get to know each other, the opportunities will be there
  - There is flexibility here with what tasks make sense for you to do, depending on your strengths and motivations, so we can chat about what works best

What We Do as a Team

How we operate as a team, and how we spend our time as people

Group calls: once a week
- We connect and catch up with each other, how we're doing, and what's new and interesting in our lives both professionally and personally for whatever we're comfortable sharing
- We share each of our proudest, most satisfying achievements we made in the past week, reminding us of how valuable our abilities and accomplishments have been and continue to be both for Ugeddit and for ourselves as continuously improving people
- We review our individual and team's performance (Agile) by
  - Sharing what worked well for us
  - Sharing what obstacles
    - We've overcome, and how we overcame them, and/or
    - Are still overcoming, and what we've tried so far
  - Sharing our ideas on what else we can do to further improve, both individually and as a team
1-on-1s: individual choice

Many of us choose to schedule calls with other team members to
- Work together and collaborate on stories and tasks where it makes sense, to help each other out, give each other tips and tricks, and work even more efficiently
- Connect in ways which may be more appropriate for 1-on-1s, such as
  - Talk about more meaningful, focused, or personal topics not necessarily related to work at Ugeddit
  - Have deeper discussions/coaching sessions about technical aspects of our stack, tools, and frameworks
